2017 HART COUNTY, GEORGIA

Formed in 1998, the Hart

Regional Arts Council aka The

Art Center is a 501(c)3 non-

profit corporation. The Coun-

cil’s purpose is to develop, co-

ordinate, and promote the

performing, visual and literary

arts.

Our mission is to develop,

coordinate, and promote all

the arts: visual, performing,

and literary. Cooperating with

other regional organizations,

we endeavor to facilitate the

greatest possible opportunity

for programming events.

Regular board meeting is

the first Tuesday of each

month at 7 p.m. Meetings are

open to the public, however

voting at regular meetings is

confined to the board. We al-

ways welcome new ideas and

additional volunteers for pro-

gramming and keeping the

center open.

A vibrant docent program,

made up of dozens of dedicat-

ed volunteers, keeps the Art

Center open weekly. Hours

are Thursday through Satur-

day from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Hours

vary with scheduled events.

Along with expanding

membership support, the Art

Center annual fund raisers in-

clude Kids’ Art Camp and

Fashion/Luncheon shows.

Mistletoe Market transforms

the Art Center into a wonder-

land holiday venue where par-

ticipants sell their artistry and

handcrafted items.

The renovated Art Center

has also become a sought after

rental venue for special occa-

sions.

The Hart Regional Arts

Council is located in The Art

Center, 338 East Howell Street

in the heart of historic down-

town Hartwell. For member-

ship, rental availability, a full

event calendar or more infor-

mation, contact The Art Cen-

ter at 706-377-2040; hartwel- lartcenter1@gmail.com or www. h a r t we l l r e g i o n - alartscouncil.org.
