Job Title – Maintenance Em-

ployee, 40 hours/week

(7:30 – 4pm)

Wage - $10-12/hour, depend-

ing on experience. After 30

days employment, health in-

surance begins; after 90 days

of employment, Holidays will

be paid; after 6 months, sick

time available; Vacation pay

accrues from day 1 but not

available for use until after 6

months.

Nature of work – mainten-

ance of right-of-ways, parks,

buildings and other duties as

assigned by Maintenance Su-

pervisor, primarily outdoor

work. Job description and ap-

at Town Hall, 1775 Hwy 17 S,

Pomona Park, FL

Qualifications – Must have

valid driver’s license. Must

pass drug test and criminal

record check. Must pass a

background search. Must be

able to operate mowers,

weed-eaters, chainsaw, tract-

or, shovel, rake and other

tools and machinery. Must be

able to lift 50 pounds. Must be

able to follow instructions with

minimal supervision. Must be

polite, punctual, dependable

and neat in appearance. Must

have steel-toe boots and sun

protection. Must be able to

understand and follow Town

personnel and safety rules.

Position will be open to other

2/20/18 through 2/27/18. If a

Town employee is not selec-

ted for the position, applica-

tions will be accepted from

the public beginning 2/28/18,

until filled. Applications must

be accompanied by 2 letters

of recommendation.

A Committee consisting of the

Maintenance Supervisor, the

Mayor and the Town Clerk will

select candidates to interview.

That same committee will se-

lect the most qualified candid-

ate.
